BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Stephen Chipman, former CEO of Grant Thornton U.S., has been named CEO of global growth expert Radius, a single-source provider of global expansion services and solutions. Chipman will be based in the company’s Boston headquarters. Chipman takes over from Chris Stone, who has stepped down as CEO but will remain a member of Radius’ board of directors.

He served as the firm’s senior vice chairman, CEO of Grant Thornton China Management Corporation – where he helped create a single national Chinese firm with more than 2,500 people in 17 offices – and finally U.S. CEO. During his tenure as U.S. CEO, Chipman led the company to double-digit revenue increases through strategic acquisitions and services expansion.
