The newly fenced in play area at the Whitman Public library will be the site of several future programs, including scavenger hunts and obstacle courses

North Easton Savings Bank has donated $3,000 to the Whitman Public Library to cover the cost of creating a safe, enclosed space for young children and their families visiting the library. This includes the fencing installed around the libraries interactive outdoor play area. A number of engaging outdoor programs will be safely offered in the enclosed area, including scavenger hunts and obstacle courses.

Founded in 1879, the Library, located at 100 Webster Street, offers all Whitman residents access to a wide array of popular and educational materials in both its physical and virtual spaces.

“It is our pleasure to support the Whitman Public Library’s outdoor play area project and we look forward to the days where we will see the space filled with learning, children and their families,” said Rich Spencer, president and CEO of North Easton Savings Bank.
