(NASDAQ: PULM), a clinical stage biopharmaceutical company developing innovative inhaled therapies to address serious pulmonary and non-pulmonary disease using its patented iSPERSE technology, today announced that it has closed its previously announced registered direct offering with certain healthcare-focused institutional investors for the sale of 20,000,000 shares of its common stock for gross proceeds of $40,000,000, prior to deducting placement agent's fees and other offering expenses.

H.C. Wainwright & Co. acted as the exclusive placement agent for the offering.

The Company intends to use the net proceeds from the offering for working capital and general corporate purposes.
