7500-square-foot Midtown space to continue to serve as headquarters for international fabrics manufacturer
Avison Young’s New York office has arranged a 7,500-square-foot lease renewal for Liba Fabrics, a leading manufacturer, converter and importer of fabrics, on the sixth floor at 132 West 36th Street, also known as the Kaufman Arcade building. The Midtown office space, located with Manhattan’s renowned Garment District, will continue to serve as the company headquarters for Liba Fabrics.
An Avison Young team comprised of Arthur Mirante, Principal and Tri-State President, and Dominic Perkaj, Associate, represented the tenant in the negotiations. Sam Stein of Kaufman Organization represented the building ownership.
“There’s still a demand for quality, well-located office space in New York City, even during these uncertain times,” notes Mirante. “Liba Fabrics wanted to extend their occupancy at 132 West 36th Street as the space continues to meet all of the company’s requirements. Avison Young was able to assist our client by negotiating a lease renewal with economically favorable terms and we’re pleased to announce the closing of this transaction.”
