Middleboro natives and current Plymouth residents Michael and Erin Dearing will celebrate the first anniversary of their ownership of the iconic Fireside Grille restaurant on December 7, and they have planned a unique and fun celebration that will “turn back the hands of time” on their prices while helping Bridgewater-based non-profit fulfill its holiday mission this season.
The Fireside Grille has teamed up with Angels in America, a non –profit whose mission is “Making America stronger, providing hope and encouragement, one good deed at a time.” Founded by Lisa Buzzell-Curley, Angels in America began in Middleboro and now is headquartered in Bridgewater. The group has expanded to a group of women who believe that even the smallest of gestures can change someone’s life. That can take the form of donating cupcakes to a fire station, collecting toys to be donated to needy children at Christmas time, and a lot in between.
On Monday, December 7, the Dearings will host a first anniversary celebration with a goal of helping Angels in America. Michael Dearing notes, “This is their most active time of year during the holidays; they help many families and individuals in need.”
Representatives of Angels in America will be at The Fireside Grille on December 7. The Dearings are inviting the public to come by and join in this special celebration; the event begins at 4 p.m. They are asking guests to bring a donation, guests will be able to order off a special anniversary menu with all prices discounted down to $12.07, to commemorate the anniversary date.
“We are thrilled to be able to celebrate with this exceptional organization, and also to thank our friends and patrons for their loyalty during this first year,” said Michael Dearing. “Please come by, say hello, learn about the good work of Angels in America, and help us celebrate our first anniversary.”
The Fireside Grille will resume its winter schedule as of December 7 and will serve lunch and dinner Monday through Sunday, and brunch Sunday morning. The restaurant is located at 30 Bedford Street, Middleboro. (508) 947-5333.
