Event planned for Thursday, September 24

(L-R): Heather Gaspar, Shaunna and Randy Baril, and Joe Gaspar at last year’s Making Lives Better Gala.
Road to Responsibility (RTR), one of the region’s largest and most successful non-profit organizations, is excited to announce that Xerox Business Solutions will serve as the Presenting Sponsor for its annual “Making Lives Better” Gala, which will be held virtually this year, on Thursday, September 24, beginning at 6:45 p.m. The event will celebrate Road to Responsibility’s 32 years of Making Lives Better for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
This year marks the seventh year that Xerox Business Solutions will be supporting RTR and the gala at the Presenting Sponsor level.
Given the ongoing pandemic, attendance at the celebration via Zoom is free, but registration is required, and participants are encouraged to donate in lieu of a ticket or table purchase. The event will welcome back emcee Michael Page of NBC Boston and feature a special program highlighting and celebrating the progress and change Road to Responsibility has made for individuals, families, and local communities.
The celebration will also feature an online auction, and all participants will receive mobile bidding and streaming instructions prior to the event.
Xerox Business Solutions is one of New England’s largest and most respected consultancy firms specializing in workflow assessment and optimization and offers managed print services. This organization has also been a longtime supporter of Road to Responsibility; earlier this month, both Randy Baril, president, and Michael Doolan, vice president, ran the Falmouth Road Race in support of Road to Responsibility for the second consecutive year.
“We are so proud to count Xerox Business Solutions among Road to Responsibility’s most generous and most reliable supporters,” said Christopher White, Ed.D., CEO of Road to Responsibility. “Their consistent partnership helps to provide vital stability and strength to our programs and services. We are so grateful that they have signed up once again this year to support the gala, especially given the challenges organizations like ours are facing, and sincerely appreciate their leadership and philanthropic example.”
Tickets and sponsorships are now available. For more information about the gala or to register, please contact Erin Cohen at ecohen@rtrinc.org, or visit: https://roadtoresponsibility.ejoinme.org/MLB2020.
About Road To Responsibility, Inc.
Celebrating over 30 years of making lives better, Road To Responsibility, Inc. (RTR) was established in 1988 with the overarching belief that individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities deserve to have full, rich, and rewarding lives in the community, and therefore works to provide the means, the opportunity, and the support necessary to allow citizens with disabilities to take their place as productive members of the community. RTR offers residential, work/employment, day habilitation and other day supports to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. RTR supports individuals with very diverse needs, including those with significant challenges who would otherwise go unserved if not for RTR. It succeeds where other organizations often fail, through the use of an integrated clinical behavioral approach. This model has proven successful and yielded positive results for the organization and the individuals served.
Road To Responsibility offers services to almost all the towns and communities throughout the South Shore and South Coast of Massachusetts, operates 48 residences as well as co-operative and supportive living apartments, and manages nine day-service locations that focus on education, employment, and community enrichment.
