Boyd Technologies and Digital Eyes Film Launch Multi-part ‘Project Frontline’ Docuseries

8/3/20

Boyd Technologies, in partnership with Digital Eyes Film, proudly announces the production of their docuseries, Project Frontline, chronicling the evolving COVID-19 pandemic, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts prompt response and initial courses of action, along with businesses and organizations that played a vital role in the state’s decision-making process.

The multi-part docuseries will provide a real-time account highlighting municipal and industry response with regards to Massachusetts, one of the country’s first virus surge states, including emergency response efforts mobilized by Governor Baker’s office, the state’s healthcare systems, and the manufacturing industry as a whole. Episode 1, titled ‘The Crisis,’ provides a detailed account of the onset of public awareness of the crisis beginning in February, and how municipalities and pertinent industries best predicted the surge by preparing for various outcomes, building models for intensive care units and field hospitals, and establishing protocols for manufacturing and proper use of protective personal equipment (PPE).

The impact of the statewide shutdown will be covered with respects to business operations, professions and industries deemed ‘essential,’ healthcare for non-COVID-19 impacted individuals, and families affected by school shutdowns and work-from-home environments. Episode 1: The Crisis will also cover the prompt establishment of the Commonwealth’s command center and the quickly-formed Manufacturing Emergency Response Team (MERT) to support Massachusetts manufacturers in pivoting their operations to produce necessary PPE materials in response to the pandemic.

“We’re giving an in-depth look of the ecosystem here in Massachusetts to show the public the many good deeds from businesses and organizations that answered the call and pivoted their operations for the greater good of the Commonwealth,” said Matthew Boyd, Chief Commercial Officer at Boyd Technologies. “Although we are only in the early stages of the pandemic fight, and research points to an expected surge this fall or winter, one of the few silver linings thus far is that the manufacturing industry in America, especially as it pertains to here in Massachusetts, is alive, thriving and reliable during times of crisis.”

Completion of the first episode is set for late-August with a release date slated for the week of Monday, September 21, 2020, available on select video-on-demand (VOD) platforms. Plans are underway for a live launch event at the Berkshire Innovation Center in Pittsfield, MA featuring a speaking panel of subjects featured from the first episode. Details and confirmed dates will soon follow, as well as details and confirmed dates surrounding Episode 2: Building a Response.

“We are going to provide audiences with an unfiltered look inside the stories of those working in the public and private sector at the epicenter of the pandemic. The way the Commonwealth has mobilized a response could be an important example for states and communities across the country as we deal with this on-going crisis. ‘Project Frontline’ is going tell that story from the inside out,” added PJ Moynihan, Founder and CEO of Digital Eyes Film Productions.
