Burns & Levinson today announced the launch of a new blog called TIPS (Technology Innovation Privacy Security), which will provide insight on a wide range of technology and privacy topics. The blog’s editor is firm partner Peter McLaughlin, who heads Burns’ Privacy & Data Security Group.
McLaughlin has a wealth of experience in advising U.S. and international clients on information technology and their handling of personal information and complying with privacy and data security protection standards. He represents organizations and individuals across a wide swath of industry sectors with respect to rules governing employee, customer, and patient data; responding to regulators from the Federal Trade Commission, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and state attorneys general; and supporting post-enforcement compliance obligations. The blog will touch on all of these topics, in addition to important news and regulatory updates.
