Akamai Technologies (NASDAQ:AKAM) announces receiving an unsolicited “mini-tender” offer from TRC Capital Corporation.

TRC wanted to purchase up to 2M shares of common stock for $54 per share, which is 4.4% lower than Friday’s closing price.

Akamai doesn’t endorse the offer and recommends that shareholders not tender shares because the offer is below the current market price.
