Ipswitch®, the leader in easy to deploy, manage and use file transfer and network management software, launched the PICNIC Podcast live show hosted by Jeanne Hopkins, Ipswitch’s Executive Vice President and CMO, and Kevin Conklin, Vice President of Content and Product Marketing, to share tips and tricks with IT professionals. Each week, guests share their experiences and best practices, providing a voice of expertise, to educate and help others with the latest technology challenges. Tune in at https://picnic-podcast.com/ on Thursdays at 3:00 p.m. ET. Funnel Radio is the producer.
“In recent years, I have created numerous podcasts, finding it to be a very important communication medium for IT professionals,” said Jeanne Hopkins. “Podcasts conveniently allow us to take a break from the screen for a moment and return to thought-provoking conversation about our challenges, strategy, tactics and the trends we are seeing. We are featuring guests from across the industry who are able to share best practices and real solutions to make IT teams’ lives easier.”
The first episode, “Welcome to PICNIC Podcast by Ipswitch,” launched last month, followed by “Top 3 Challenges of Managing a Small IT Team,” with guest Rachel Simone, Ipswitch’s Vice President of Enterprise Applications and Technology. Episode #3, “What’s Up on Network Security in 2018,” featured John Stewart, Ipswitch’s Network Infrastructure and Security Director. The most recent episode, “Collaboration, Shared Tools and Security – What Is It?” featured Eric Turnquist, Ipswitch’s Senior Director of Information Technology.
“We are very excited about the positive response we’ve had to our PICNIC podcast in a very short time,” said Kevin Conklin. “We want to bring informative and interesting content to harried IT professionals so the podcast format is great. You can listen to it on a drive, eating lunch or working out. We have a great line up of IT pros working on cool projects, analysts informed on the latest trends and industry evangelists who will be talking to emerging technologies.”
The PICNIC name is from the humorous IT acronym, “problem in chair, not in computer,” implying the problem was not in the computer but instead caused by the user operating it.
