Newly Published IDC MarketScapes Assess Management Consulting Firms Focused on Digital Transformation

1/18/17

FRAMINGHAM, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--International Data Corporation (IDC) has published three vendor assessment reports profiling management consulting firms with digital strategy and agency-related offerings and global delivery capabilities aligned with digital enterprise priorities in customer experience, digital operations, and product innovation.

IDC predicts that as adoption of digital capabilities grows, project-oriented engagements that contain a digital strategy and agency component will comprise over 70% of all engagements by 2020, producing a $120.5 billion worldwide services market.

The three IDC MarketScape reports are based on a comprehensive framework and a set of parameters expected to be most conducive to success of digital enterprise strategy. A significant and unique component of this evaluation is the inclusion of an assessment of vendor performance against key characteristics determined by more than 650 executives to be most important in vendor selection and delivery. Each report highlights important digital transformation trends and end-user guidance. In addition to the assessments, in-depth profiles describe each vendors' strategy and capabilities characteristics, including a synopsis of overall strengths and opportunities in the individual markets covered.

The three newly published IDC MarketScapes are titled:

"These assessments are designed to evaluate the characteristics and performance of each firm in client settings, as opposed to simply its size or the breadth of digital services. As one would expect of the market's leading firms, overall, firms performed well in these assessments. The real separation between firms comes from the clear perception from their clients of the skills and capabilities most important to successful engagement, and the overall business, operational, and technical value delivered through their relationships," said Michael Versace, research director, Digital Strategy Consulting.
