John Dvorak, a leading hemp historian and anti-prohibition activist, will join Women Grow: Boston on September 8 to present the Cannabis Curriculum, his effort to increase understanding into the myriad aspects of industrial hemp, medicinal cannabis and marijuana prohibition.
John’s presentation will cover hemp linguistics, history, engineering, biology and chemistry. Hemp’s “green” aspects will be covered in the environmental sciences and architecture segments, while nutrition, body care, CBD and the economics of hemp will also be discussed.
John will also talk about the crucial role that women and gender studies play in ending prohibition and de-stigmatizing cannabis consumers. The Traveling Hemp Museum, which features the raw materials and finished products that make cannabis hemp one of the most versatile plants in the world will be on display and free hemp samples will be available to take home.
“Hemp can save the world,” said Beth Waterfall, Women Grow: Boston Chairwoman. “We are honored to bring John Dvorak to the stage in Boston to explain the history and future of the hemp industry and economics in America.”
The event is open to the public and media, and will be held at Workbar Boston. For more information and to register, visit www.universe.com/women-grow-boston.
