The Art of Change has recently completed a project for the Boston Center for the Arts (BCA). The Inaugural BCA Ball & Disco Under the Dome, held earlier this month at the Cyclorama in the South End, was the first project for the newly launched The Art of Change.
Co-Founders Karen DeTemple and Nicole Polletta created and executed a successful fundraising and marketing strategy along with a wider institutional marketing consultancy.
The historic event was attended by 500 leaders in the arts and business communities and raised more than $315,000 to support the BCA’s exhibitions, residency programs and professional development for innovative visual and performing arts.
The Inaugural Ball & Disco Under the Dome offered guests the opportunity to connect with the BCA’s creative community in a collection of art experiences curated by Alter Projects. Featured BCA affiliated artists included: Liars & Believers, Elisa Hamilton, JR Uretsky & The Feminist Conference, and Mila Thigpen.
Later in the evening, the doors opened to a new wave of energetic arts enthusiasts to dance as Disco Under the Dome began with non-stop dancing featuring live remixing, genre blending, and video scratch by multimedia artists and musicians DJ Flack and DJ Pace of Beat Research.
