RIDGEFIELD, Conn., June 27, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Chefs' Warehouse, Inc. (NASDAQ:CHEF), a premier distributor of specialty food products in North America, today announced that it has acquired substantially all of the assets of M.T. Food Service, Inc.,based in Chicago, Illinois. Founded in the mid 1990’s, MT is a wholesale distributor of dairy, produce, specialty and grocery items in the metro Chicago area.

MT is expected to generate between $50.0 million and $60.0 million in annualized net sales in 2017. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
