Comprehensive Benefit Administrators, Inc., a company that combines traditional group benefits brokerage services with specialty services such as advocacy, claims administration, benefits expertise and compliance, announces the acquisition of the Ernst Insurance Agency, a Quincy-based agency owned by Robert Ernst that for more than 25 years provided employee benefits, insurance and retirement plans.

The acquisition, terms of which were not disclosed, became effective on June 1st.

In addition to acquiring Ernst Insurance Agency’s health insurance block, CBA has hired Ernst Account Manager Jeff Tyrakowski, who will consult for both Ernst and CBA accounts. The office will be incorporated into the CBA headquarters in Norwell.
