Boston-based Vulsec Celebrates One-Year Anniversary

6/6/16

Vulsec, LLC, a firm protecting companies from unauthorized access (hackers), has just passed its one-year milestone. The company was co-founded on June 1, 2015, by Andrew Ostashen, who also serves as principal security consultant for the company.

At Vulsec, Ostashen and his team provide clients with the highest methodologies in data protection by delivering versatile tactics to safeguard information technology departments from hackers. Vulsec’s client list includes financial institutions, power plants, casinos, and healthcare organizations.

Vulsec has also recently initiated a quarterly seminar program. Its first event in this series is the information security panel entitled, “What Is Lurking within the Infrastructure?” The panel will feature technology experts from both the public and private sectors. Ostashen was also recently named a “40 Under 40” award winner by Cape & Plymouth Business. These awards spotlight the region’s top young business leaders who excl in their industry and show dynamic leadership. Ostashen will be presented with his award on June 16.

“We’ve accomplished a lot in our first year, and we’re set up well to move forward,” said Ostashen. “As we help people and organizations become more aware of the cybersecurity risks that they might not even realize are out there, we can stay ahead of the hackers and their nefarious endgames.”
